THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

.RIP CURRENT IMPACT...
LONG PERIOD SWELLS LINGERING OVER THE LOCAL ATLANTIC WATERS WILL
CONTINUE THE HIGH RISK OF STRONG AND DANGEROUS RIP CURRENTS.
BREEZY NORTHEAST WINDS FROM ABOUT COCOA BEACH NORTHWARD THIS
AFTERNOON WILL ALSO PRODUCE A MORE CHOPPY SURF ZONE. THE HIGHEST
RIP CURRENT RISK WILL BE THIS MORNING THROUGH EARLY AFTERNOON DUE
TO TIDAL EFFECTS. THE SEAWARD PULL WILL BE ESPECIALLY STRONG NEAR
PIERS AND JETTIES. HEED THE ADVICE OF OCEAN RESCUE PERSONNEL AND
ONLY ENTER THE SURF NEAR A LIFEGUARD.

BREAK THE GRIP OF THE RIP. NEVER SWIM DIRECTLY AGAINST A RIP
CURRENT. SWIM PARALLEL TO THE BEACH UNTIL OUT OF THE FORCE OF THE
RIP CURRENT AND THEN SWIM BACK TO SHORE.

.WIND AND SEA IMPACT...
NORTH TO NORTHEAST WINDS WILL INCREASE OVER THE WATERS FROM ABOUT
CANAVERAL NORTHWARD LATE THIS MORNING AND INTO THE EVENING. SPEEDS
15 TO 20 KNOTS AND SEAS 5 TO 6 FEET DICTATE A SMALL CRAFT EXERCISE
CAUTION STATEMENT IN THE OFFSHORE WATERS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.
SOME LONG PERIOD SWELL WILL LINGER EARLY IN THE WEEK AND KEEP THE
RIP CURRENT RISK ELEVATED. BY TUESDAY OR WEDNESDAY...A NEARLY
STATIONARY FRONT EXTENDING ACROSS THE SOUTHERN GULF OF MEXICO TO
THE SOUTH FLORIDA PENINSULA...MAY INTERACT WITH A TROPICAL MOISTURE
PLUME AND BRING A CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS TO THE TREASURE COAST
AND OKEECHOBEE.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
SPOTTER ACTIVATION WILL NOT BE NEEDED TODAY.
