THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF EAST ARKANSAS...
THE MISSOURI BOOTHEEL...NORTH MISSISSIPPI...AND WEST TENNESSEE.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

THERE IS A MODERATE RISK FOR SEVERE WEATHER ALONG AND WEST OF A
LINE FROM PARIS TENNESSEE TO NEW ALBANY MISSISSIPPI TO BRUCE
MISSISSIPPI. THIS AREA INCLUDES MEMPHIS...JONESBORO ARKANSAS AND
JACKSON TENNESSEE. THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK OVER THE REMAINDER OF
THE AREA INCLUDING TUPELO MISSISSIPPI.

A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE INTO THE MIDSOUTH AROUND
NOON AND PUSH ACROSS THE AREA THROUGH THIS EVENING. THE BEST
CHANCE FOR SEVERE WEATHER WILL BE FROM NOON TO 4 PM CDT FOR
EASTERN ARKANSAS AND THE MISSOURI BOOTHEEL...3 PM CDT TO 7 PM CDT
FOR MUCH OF WEST TENNESSEE AND NORTHWEST MISSISSIPPI AND 6 PM CDT
TO 10 PM CDT FOR AREAS NEAR THE TENNESSEE RIVER AND ACROSS NORTHEAST
MISSISSIPPI.

THE MAIN THREAT WILL BE DAMAGING WINDS WITH SIGNIFICANT WIND GUSTS
OF GREATER THAN 75 MPH POSSIBLE. TORNADOES WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE
ESPECIALLY IN ANY DISCRETE CELLS THAT DEVELOP AHEAD OF THE MAIN
LINE OF STORMS ACROSS EASTERN ARKANSAS...THE MISSOURI
BOOTHEEL...NORTHWEST MISSISSIPPI AND EXTREME WEST TENNESSEE. A
STRONG TORNADO IS POSSIBLE. LARGE HAIL IS A SECONDARY THREAT.

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR THE ENTIRE AREA. TWO INCHES
OF RAIN WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS IS POSSIBLE.

A WIND ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR AREAS ALONG AND WEST OF THE
MISSISSIPPI RIVER FROM 10 AM CDT TO 7 PM CDT.
