.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

WIDELY SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE TODAY
ACROSS THE AREA. WHILE WIDESPREAD SEVERE WEATHER IS NOT EXPECTED...
GUSTY WINDS AND HEAVY RAINFALL WILL ACCOMPANY SOME OF THE STORMS.
DUE TO THE SLOW MOVEMENT OF SOME OF THE STORMS...LOCALIZED FLASH
FLOODING WILL BE POSSIBLE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY

HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT WILL BUILD OVER THE MID SOUTH...WITH HOT AND
HUMID CONDITIONS EXPECTED. AFTERNOON HEAT INDICES WILL RANGE FROM
100 TO 105 DEGREES EACH AFTERNOON. SOME LOCATIONS MAY EXCEED THE
CRITICAL 105 DEGREE HEAT INDEX VALUE LATER THIS WEEK. SHOULD THIS
OCCUR...HEAT ADVISORIES MAY BE NEEDED IN THE COMING DAYS.
