  DRAINAGE AREAS IN...
  JEFFERSON PARISH IN SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA...
  THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF METAIRIE...
  ST. CHARLES PARISH IN SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA...
  ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST PARISH IN SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA...
  THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF...RESERVE...LAPLACE...

* UNTIL 230 PM CDT

* AT 1232 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE METEOROLOGIST DETECTED
AN AREA OF SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS FROM METAIRIE TO LAPLACE. THESE
STORMS WERE ORIENTED ALONG A LINE THAT WAS MOVING LITTLE. HEAVY
RAINFALL WAS OCCURRING ALONG THIS LINE OF STORMS AND FLOODING OF LOW
LYING AREAS IS LIKELY.

LAPLACE AREA RECEIVED CLOSE TO THREE INCHES OF RAINFALL FROM EARLIER
SHOWERS LATE THIS MORNING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE IN THE
ADVISORY AREA THROUGH 230 PM CDT.

A FLOOD ADVISORY MEANS RIVER OR STREAM FLOWS ARE ELEVATED OR PONDING
OF WATER IN URBAN OR OTHER AREAS IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT.
