THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE NORTHWEST
GULF OF MEXICO...CENTRAL LOUISIANA...SOUTH CENTRAL LOUISIANA...
SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA...WEST CENTRAL LOUISIANA AND SOUTHEAST TEXAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT
SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED BY THIS
AFTERNOON...ESPECIALLY OVER THE ATCHAFALAYA BASIN AND SOUTHWEST
LOUISIANA...AS MOISTURE ASSOCIATED WITH A TROPICAL WAVE CROSSING
THE SOUTHERN GULF STREAMS OVER THE REGION. OCCASIONAL LIGHTNING
STRIKES WILL BE THE PRIMARY CONCERN WITH THIS ACTIVITY.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY
A COLD FRONT APPROACHING THE FORECAST AREA WILL BE ACCOMPANIED BY
SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS FRIDAY...AND THESE
ELEVATED RAIN CHANCES WILL LINGER INTO SATURDAY AS THE FRONT
CROSSES THE AREA. RAIN MAY BE HEAVY AT TIMES DURING THIS TIME
FRAME...WHILE ALL THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE ACCOMPANIED BY OCCASIONAL
LIGHTNING STRIKES. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL RETURN TO A MORE
WIDELY SCATTERED COVERAGE FOR SUNDAY AND EARLY NEXT WEEK AS HIGH
PRESSURE ALOFT RE-ESTABLISHES ITSELF ACROSS THE WESTERN GULF
REGION...BUT ANOTHER STRONG DISTURBANCE ALOFT WILL LEAD TO A
SLIGHT INCREASE IN RAIN CHANCES AGAIN BY MID-WEEK.
