THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF EASTERN KENTUCKY.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

RAIN IS EXPECTED TO TRANSITION TO A WINTRY MIX WITH RAIN...SNOW...AND
POSSIBLY SOME SLEET EARLY THIS MORNING...BEFORE BECOMING ALL SNOW
AFTER DAYBREAK. SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES ARE EXPECTED
THROUGH AROUND NOON. THIS QUICK SNOWFALL WILL LEAD TO SLUSHY AND
POSSIBLY SLICK ROAD CONDITIONS DURING THE MORNING COMMUTE.
VISIBILITIES COULD ALSO SHARPLY BE REDUCED...SO TAKE CAUTION IF
TRAVELING ON THE ROADWAYS THIS MORNING. NON ACCUMULATING SNOW
FLURRIES AND LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS COULD LINGER ACROSS THE AREA THROUGH
THE AFTERNOON AND INTO THE OVERNIGHT.

IN THE WAKE OF THE SNOW...SOME OF THE COLDEST AIR IN 30 OR SO
YEARS...FOR NOVEMBER...WILL SURGE INTO THE AREA. WHILE OVERNIGHT
TEMPERATURES DROP INTO THE MID TEENS...WIND CHILL VALUES WILL FALL
TO THE SINGLE DIGITS ABOVE ZERO.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY.

RECORD BREAKING COLD AIR WILL CONTINUE TO FLOW INTO THE REGION DURING
THE DAY TUESDAY AND INTO TUESDAY NIGHT. WIND CHILL READINGS NEAR ZERO
WILL BE POSSIBLE EARLY TUESDAY MORNING. WIND CHILL VALUES IN THE
SINGLE DIGITS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE DAY TUESDAY AND TUESDAY
NIGHT.

LIGHT SNOW WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND AGAIN AREA WIDE

TERRAIN OF SOUTHEAST KENTUCKY INTO TUESDAY MORNING. MOST LOCATIONS
CAN EXPECT A DUSTING TO A FEW TENTHS OF AN INCH OF ACCUMULATION...
MAINLY ON ELEVATED AND GRASSY SURFACES. GENERALLY LIGHT SNOW WILL
THEN SLOWLY TAPER OFF FROM WEST TO EAST THIS AFTERNOON AND OVERNIGHT.
