TONIGHT...

...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY CONDITIONS OVER THE COASTAL WATERS INTO
SUNDAY...

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHEAST
FLORIDA...SOUTHEAST GEORGIA AND THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...LOCAL NOR`EASTER CONDITIONS
WILL PREVAIL IN THE COASTAL COUNTIES TODAY AS STRONG HIGH PRESSURE
EXPANDS SOUTHWARD ALONG THE EASTERN SEABOARD. WIND SPEEDS ALONG THE
IMMEDIATE COAST NORTH OF ST. AUGUSTINE WILL INCREASE TO 20-25 MPH
WITH GUSTS UP TO 35 MPH...AND WILL PERSIST THROUGH SUNSET BEFORE
GRADUALLY DIMINISHING OVERNIGHT. PERIODS OF LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL
ARE POSSIBLE IN THE COASTAL COUNTIES AND NORTH CENTRAL FLORIDA THIS
AFTERNOON THROUGH THIS EVENING.

STRONG ONSHORE WINDS AND BUILDING SEAS WILL CREATE A HIGH RISK OF
RIP CURRENTS AT AREA BEACHES THROUGH TONIGHT. SMALL CRAFT
ADVISORY CONDITIONS WILL PREVAIL OVER THE COASTAL WATERS...WITH
OCCASIONAL GUSTS TO GALE FORCE POSSIBLE TODAY. ROUGH SEAS AND
POUNDING SURF WILL RESULT IN MINOR BEACH EROSION DURING TIMES OF
HIGH TIDE.

MINOR FLOODING WILL BEGIN ALONG THE ALTAMAHA RIVER NEAR BAXLEY
LATER TODAY.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...

ONSHORE WINDS WILL GRADUALLY DIMINISH ON SUNDAY...BUT ELEVATED SEAS
WILL KEEP SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY CONDITIONS IN PLACE THROUGH THE
MORNING HOURS IN THE NEAR SHORE WATERS...AND THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT
OFFSHORE. AN ELEVATED RISK OF RIP CURRENTS IS EXPECTED TO PERSIST
THROUGH MONDAY. WINDS AND SEAS WILL DIMINISH EARLY NEXT WEEK.

SOUTHERLY WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO INCREASE TOWARDS MIDWEEK WELL IN
ADVANCE OF A COLD FRONT...WITH SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY CONDITIONS
POSSIBLE OFFSHORE.

MINOR FLOODING WILL CONTINUE ALONG THE ALTAMAHA RIVER NEAR BAXLEY
THROUGHOUT THE NEXT WEEK.
