SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS AND SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT

SOUTHERLY WINDS OF 30 TO 35 MPH...GUSTING TO 45 MPH WILL IMPACT
CENTRAL AND SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS THIS AFTERNOON. THIS WILL RESULT
IN VERY HIGH TO EXTREME GRASSLAND FIRE DANGER ACROSS CENTRAL AND
SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS. PLEASE REFER TO THE RED FLAG WARNING AND
WIND ADVISORY STATEMENT FOR DETAILS.

A FEW THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE OVER AREAS ALONG AND NORTHWEST OF
A LINE FROM LINCOLN TO GREAT BEND LATE TONIGHT BUT SHOULD BE
NEITHER STRONG NOR SEVERE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL SPREAD EASTWARD ACROSS KANSAS ON SUNDAY
AND SUNDAY NIGHT. NICKEL-SIZED HAIL IS POSSIBLE...ESPECIALLY OVER
CENTRAL AND SOUTH-CENTRAL KANSAS SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND SUNDAY
EVENING.

THE GRASSLAND FIRE DANGER INDEX WILL CLIMB INTO THE VERY HIGH TO
EXTREME CATEGORY DURING MUCH OF THE UPCOMING WEEK ACROSS CENTRAL
AND PORTIONS OF SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS. EXTREME GRASSLAND FIRE DANGER
IS LIKELY ON WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON FOR LOCATIONS MAINLY WEST OF
I-135.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HAIL UP TO THE SIZE OF GOLF BALLS AND
WIND GUSTS OVER 60 MPH ARE POSSIBLE WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON AND
WEDNESDAY NIGHT ACROSS PORTIONS OF CENTRAL AND SOUTH CENTRAL
KANSAS AND OVER AREAS PRIMARILY EAST OF I-135 ON THURSDAY.
