THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL KANSAS...
SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS AND SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

A FEW THUNDERSTORMS WILL LINGER ACROSS SOUTHEAST KANSAS THIS
MORNING. THESE STORMS ARE NOT EXPECTED TO BE STRONG OR SEVERE.

SEVERE STORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP ALONG A SLOW MOVING COLD
FRONT THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. THE PRIMARY THREATS WILL BE GOLF
BALL SIZED HAIL...DAMAGING WINDS TO 70 MPH AND LOCALLY HEAVY
RAIN...ALTHOUGH A BRIEF TORNADO WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE ACROSS
SOUTHEAST KANSAS THIS EVENING. THE SEVERE THREAT WILL TRANSITION
TO LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN AND DAMAGING WINDS DURING THE EVENING HOURS
BEFORE DIMINISHING AFTER MIDNIGHT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

A FEW STRONG STORMS WITH LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN ARE ALSO POSSIBLE ON
TUESDAY INTO TUESDAY NIGHT.

HEAT INDICES WILL HOVER NEAR 100 DEGREES ON WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON
FOR LOCATIONS GENERALLY ALONG AND EAST OF I-135.

A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE INTO THE AREA LATE THURSDAY OR FRIDAY
BRINGING ANOTHER THREAT OF STRONG STORMS TO THE AREA THROUGH SATURDAY.

SKYWARN SPOTTER ACTIVATION MAY BE NEEDED THIS AFTERNOON AND
EVENING...MAINLY EAST OF THE KANSAS TURNPIKE.
