THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL KANSAS...
SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS AND SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT

ARCTIC AIR WILL CAUSE WIND CHILL TEMPERATURES DURING THE OVERNIGHT
HOURS TO BE BETWEEN ZERO AND 10 BELOW ZERO.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

ARCTIC AIR WILL REMAIN OVER THE AREA AND PRODUCE WIND CHILL
VALUES BETWEEN ZERO AND 10 BELOW ZERO EARLY FRIDAY MORNING AND
SATURDAY MORNING.

A WINTER STORM WILL BEGIN TO IMPACT THE REGION BEGINNING SATURDAY.
THE STORM WILL BEGIN WITH SNOW ON SATURDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHT
BEFORE TRANSITIONING TO A WINTRY MIX OF SNOW...FREEZING RAIN AND
SLEET BY SUNDAY INTO MONDAY. THE MAIN AREA THAT WILL SEE THE
WINTRY MIX...FREEZING RAIN AND OR SLEET WILL BE SOUTH OF THE
KANSAS TURNPIKE. SNOWFALL TOTALS ON SATURDAY COULD BE BETWEEN 2
TO 4 INCHES WITH ANOTHER 1 TO 2 INCHES OF SNOWFALL EXPECTED
SUNDAY...ESPECIALLY OVER CENTRAL KANSAS ALONG INTERSTATE 70. ICE
MAY ACCUMULATE WITH THE FREEZING RAIN THAT FALLS ON SUNDAY AND
MONDAY...BUT ONLY A FEW HUNDREDTHS OF ICE ACCUMULATION IS
EXPECTED. THESE WINTRY CONDITIONS WILL CAUSE HAZARDOUS TRAVEL
THROUGH THE WEEKEND AND INTO THE BEGINNING OF NEXT WEEK. EXPECT
CHANGES TO THE FORECAST AS THE PERIOD NEARS AND MORE DETAILS TO BE
DETERMINED THROUGH THE REMINDER OF THE WORK WEEK FOR ANY
ADVISORIES OR POSSIBLE WARNINGS. PLEASE WATCH THIS PERIOD FOR
UPDATES.

WINTRY PRECIPITATION CHANCES WILL CONTINUE TUESDAY THROUGH
WEDNESDAY AS MULTIPLE EPISODES OF PRECIPITATION MOVE THROUGH THE
AREA. DETAILS WILL BE DETERMINED AS THE PERIOD NEARS.
