THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL KANSAS...
SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS AND SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

ARCTIC AIR WILL REMAIN OVER THE REGION AND PRODUCE WIND CHILL
VALUES BETWEEN ZERO AND 10 BELOW ZERO...MAINLY DURING THE
OVERNIGHT AND EARLY MORNING HOURS FRIDAY AND SATURDAY.

A WINTER STORM WILL BEGIN TO IMPACT THE REGION BEGINNING SATURDAY.
THE STORM WILL BEGIN WITH SNOW ON SATURDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHT
BEFORE TRANSITIONING TO A WINTRY MIX OF SNOW...FREEZING RAIN AND
SLEET BY SUNDAY INTO MONDAY. THE MAIN AREA THAT WILL SEE THE
WINTRY MIX...FREEZING RAIN AND OR SLEET WILL BE SOUTH OF THE
KANSAS TURNPIKE. SNOWFALL TOTALS ON SATURDAY COULD BE BETWEEN 2
TO 4 INCHES WITH MORE SNOWFALL EXPECTED SUNDAY...ESPECIALLY OVER
CENTRAL KANSAS ALONG INTERSTATE 70. ICE MAY ACCUMULATE WITH THE
FREEZING RAIN THAT FALLS ON SUNDAY AND MONDAY...THESE WINTRY
CONDITIONS WILL CAUSE HAZARDOUS TRAVEL THROUGH THE WEEKEND AND
INTO THE BEGINNING OF NEXT WEEK. EXPECT CHANGES TO THE FORECAST AS
THE PERIOD NEARS AND MORE DETAILS TO BE DETERMINED THROUGH THE
REMINDER OF THE WORK WEEK FOR ANY ADVISORIES OR POSSIBLE WARNINGS.
