THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR THE MOUNTAINS OF NORTHEAST
GEORGIA...WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA...AND UPSTATE SOUTH CAROLINA.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT THE MOUNTAINS THROUGH THE
EARLY EVENING HOURS. THE MAIN THREATS WILL BE CLOUD TO GROUND
LIGHTNING STRIKES AND BRIEFLY HEAVY RAINFALL. THE STRONGEST
THUNDERSTORMS COULD PRODUCE SMALL HAIL AND GUSTY WINDS OF 30 TO 40
MPH. THE THUNDERSTORMS SHOULD MOVE EAST OF THE MOUNTAINS BY
SUNSET.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHEAST GEORGIA...THE
FOOTHILLS AND PIEDMONT OF WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA...AND UPSTATE
SOUTH CAROLINA.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.

NUMEROUS THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO DEVELOP JUST EAST OF THE
MOUNTAINS AND TRACK EASTWARD ACROSS THE FOOTHILLS AND PIEDMONT
INTO THE EVENING HOURS. A FEW OF THESE THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED
TO BECOME SEVERE...PRODUCING BRIEF BUT DAMAGING WIND GUSTS OF 60
MPH AND HAIL AS LARGE AS QUARTERS. THE GREATEST CHANCE OF SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE PIEDMONT LOCATIONS ALONG AND EAST OF
INTERSTATE 77 THROUGH MID EVENING. ANY OF THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL
ALSO PRODUCE FREQUENT LIGHTNING AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL...WHICH
COULD CREATE ISOLATED FLOODING IN AREAS REPEATEDLY AFFECTED. THE
STORMS SHOULD MOVE EAST OF THE AREA BY MIDNIGHT.
