THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR SOUTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA AND
PORTIONS OF NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

AN ISOLATED NON SEVERE THUNDERSTORM IS POSSIBLE LATE THIS
AFTERNOON INTO TONIGHT FOR LOCATIONS EAST OF LINE FROM SAINT PAUL
TO KEARNEY TO ALMA NEBRASKA...AND FOR ALL OF NORTH CENTRAL
KANSAS.

ALSO TODAY...THE COMBINATION OF LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY AND GUSTY
WINDS MAY PROMOTE NEAR CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS FOR NORTH
CENTRAL KANSAS AND AREAS SOUTH OF A LINE FROM LEXINGTON TO HEBRON
NEBRASKA.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.

LATE MONDAY AFTERNOON...A SLIGHT CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS RETURNS TO
NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS...WITH THUNDERSTORM CHANCES THEN INCREASING
MONDAY NIGHT AND ALSO EXPANDING TO INCLUDE THE ENTIRE OUTLOOK AREA.
ALTHOUGH WIDESPREAD SEVERE WEATHER IS NOT CURRENTLY EXPECTED...A FEW
STORMS COULD BECOME STRONG TO MARGINALLY SEVERE ESPECIALLY NEAR AND
SOUTH OF THE NEBRASKA-KANSAS BORDER...WITH HAIL UP TO AROUND QUARTER
SIZE BEING THE MAIN THREAT. CHANCES FOR THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE INTO
THE DAYTIME HOURS TUESDAY...BUT WILL END FROM WEST-TO-EAST AS THE
DAY WEARS ON.

ALSO TUESDAY...RATHER STRONG WEST-NORTHWEST WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO
SURGE INTO THE OUTLOOK AREA BEHIND A PASSING DRYLINE...WITH
ESPECIALLY THE SOUTHWEST HALF OF THE AREA EXPECTED TO SEE SUSTAINED
SPEEDS OF AT LEAST 25 TO 30 MPH...AND GUSTS TO AT LEAST 40 MPH.
THESE STRONG WINDS...COMBINED WITH LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY
VALUES...WILL PROMOTE NEAR-CRITICAL TO POTENTIALLY CRITICAL FIRE
DANGER...PRIMARILY SOUTHWEST OF A LINE FROM KEARNEY NEBRASKA TO
BELOIT KANSAS.
