THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR SOUTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA AND
PORTIONS OF NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

HOT TEMPERATURES COMBINED WITH THE HUMIDITY WILL MAINTAIN HEAT
INDEX VALUES IN EXCESS OF 100 DEGREES UNTIL 7 PM. PLEASE SEE THE
LATEST HEAT ADVISORY MESSAGE FOR ADDITIONAL DETAILS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.

HOT TEMPERATURES COMBINED WITH THE HUMIDITY WILL PUSH THE HEAT
INDEX ABOVE 100 DEGREES SATURDAY AFTERNOON...ALONG AND SOUTH OF
INTERSTATE 80. THE HEAT INDEX WILL BE 105 OR GREATER EAST OF A
LINE FROM GENEVA NEBRASKA...TO NELSON...TO MANKATO KANSAS TO
OSBORNE.

A COUPLE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE OVER NEBRASKA SATURDAY...
NORTH OF A LINE FROM ORD TO OSCEOLA. IF THESE STORMS OCCUR THEY
ARE NOT EXPECTED TO BE SEVERE. THE THREAT FOR HIT OR MISS
THUNDERSTORMS WILL EXPAND TO THE ENTIRE OUTLOOK AREA AFTER 4 PM...
AND CONTINUE INTO SATURDAY EVENING. THIS RISK WILL GENERALLY END
FROM NORTH TO SOUTH AS THE EVENING PROGRESSES. IF THUNDERSTORMS
OCCUR...THEY WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING HAIL TO AROUND THE SIZE
OF QUARTERS AND THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO AROUND 60 MPH.

PERIODIC THUNDERSTORM CHANCES ARE ALSO FORECAST BETWEEN MONDAY
NIGHT AND THURSDAY.
