THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF NORTH AND CENTRAL GEORGIA.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FOR PORTIONS OF FAR NORTH
GEORGIA LATE TONIGHT THROUGH MONDAY...

A CLIPPER TYPE SYSTEM WILL MOVE INTO GEORGIA THIS EVENING BRINGING
RAIN AND A SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS FOR NORTHERN SECTIONS
OF THE FORECAST AREA. NO STRONG STORMS ARE EXPECTED WITH THIS
ACTIVITY.

THIS SYSTEM WILL ALSO BRING ANOTHER CHANCE OF RAIN AND SNOW
TO FAR NORTH GEORGIA TONIGHT INTO MONDAY MORNING. LIGHT SNOW
ACCUMULATIONS ARE POSSIBLE IN PORTIONS OF NORTH GEORGIA...MAINLY
AT ELEVATIONS ABOVE 1500 FEET WHERE AMOUNTS IN THE HALF INCH TO
ONE INCH RANGE COULD BE SEEN. PLEASE SEE THE LATEST WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR FURTHER DETAILS AND STAY TUNED TO LATER
FORECAST UPDATES.

OUTSIDE OF THE ADVISORY...FOR AREAS FROM ROME TO CARTERSVILLE TO
CANTON...THERE IS A SLIGHT CHANCE OF SOME PATCHY BLACK ICE
DEVELOPMENT LATE MONDAY NIGHT INTO TUESDAY MORNING. THIS SHOULD
REMAIN NORTH OF THE ATLANTA METRO WHERE ONLY RAIN AND TEMPERATURES
ABOVE FREEZING ARE EXPECTED.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY...

FAR NORTHEAST GEORGIA MAY ALSO SEE SOME LINGERING LIGHT SNOW OR
FLURRIES OVERNIGHT MONDAY INTO MID MORNING TUESDAY. ANY
ACCUMULATIONS SHOULD BE LIGHT AND UNDER HALF AN INCH THOUGH WILL
BRING ADDITIONAL CONCERN FOR POSSIBLE SLICK SPOTS ON THE ROADS.

TWO OTHER DISTURBANCES LOOK TO TRACK NEAR THE AREA THIS WEEK...ONE
THURSDAY OR THURSDAY NIGHT...AND ANOTHER NEAR LATE SATURDAY.
THERE IS MUCH UNCERTAINTY WITH THE STRENGTH AND TIMING OF THESE
SYSTEMS AT THE MOMENT...THOUGH CANNOT RULE OUT A SLIGHT CHANCE OF
WINTRY PRECIP IN PORTIONS OF FAR NORTH GEORGIA FOR BOTH PERIODS.
PLEASE KEEP MONITORING UPDATES TO THE FORECAST AS CHANGES ARE
LIKELY.
