THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR THE COUNTIES SERVED BY THE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE IN BIRMINGHAM.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.

A WINTER STORM SYSTEM WILL MOVE THROUGH CENTRAL ALABAMA THROUGH
THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. AREAS JUST SOUTH OF THE INTERSTATE 20 CORRIDOR
WILL RECEIVE 1 TO 2 INCHES. AREAS NEAR AND NORTH OF A VERNON TO
JAPSER TO GADSDEN TO CENTRE WILL RECEIVE 8 TO 10 INCHES WITH
LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS. TRAVEL HAS BECOME VERY TREACHEROUS NORTH
OF INTERSTATE 20...AND TRAVEL IS DISCOURAGED. GIVEN THE EXPECTED TRACK AND
INTENSITY OF THIS SYSTEM...THERE WILL LIKELY BE A TIGHT GRADIENT
IN ACCUMULATING WINTER PRECIPITATION.

DUE TO THE HEAVY WET SNOW AND FREEZING RAIN...TREES AND POWER
LINES MAY GO DOWN PRODUCING POWER OUTAGES.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.

NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.

NEEDED THROUGH TONIGHT.
