...SNOW CHANCES INCREASING ACROSS THE PANHANDLES...

AN UPPER-LEVEL STORM SYSTEM WILL EMERGE FROM THE SOUTHWESTERN UNITED
STATES TONIGHT...BRINGING INCREASING CHANCES FOR SNOW TO THE TEXAS
AND OKLAHOMA PANHANDLES WEDNESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY AFTERNOON.

SNOW WILL START OVER THE WESTERN OKLAHOMA PANHANDLE AND THE
NORTHWESTERN TEXAS PANHANDLE LATE TONIGHT. SNOW WILL SPREAD OVER THE
REMAINDER OF THE TEXAS AND OKLAHOMA PANHANDLES WEDNESDAY. SNOW...OR
A MIX OF RAIN AND SNOW...WILL LIKELY OCCUR WEDNESDAY. THE WESTERN
TEXAS AND OKLAHOMA PANHANDLES WILL LIKELY SEE ALL SNOW WEDNESDAY...
WHILE THE REMAINDER OF THE AREA WILL SEE A MIX OF RAIN AND SNOW
DURING THE DAY. HOWEVER AS TEMPERATURES FALL TO OR BELOW FREEZING...
THESE AREAS WILL SEE THE MIX OF RAIN AND SNOW TRANSITION TO ALL SNOW
WEDNESDAY EVENING.

FOR MOST LOCATIONS...WEDNESDAY NIGHT WILL OFFER THE BEST OPPORTUNITY
FOR MEASURABLE PRECIPITATION.  ADDITIONAL SNOW WILL BE POSSIBLE
THURSDAY MORNING...MAINLY ACROSS THE SOUTHERN HALF OF THE TEXAS
PANHANDLE.

AT THIS TIME...IT APPEARS THAT AREAS GENERALLY WEST AND SOUTH OF A
LINE FROM TEXLINE TO AMARILLO WILL RECEIVE TOTALS OF AROUND
FIVE INCHES...WITH THE REMAINDER OF THE AREA LIKELY SEEING ANYWHERE
FROM AROUND ONE TO FOUR INCHES OF SNOW. THESE EARLY ESTIMATES ARE
SUBJECT TO REVISION...AS DETAILS REGARDING THE TRACK AND STRENGTH OF
THE STORM SYSTEM BECOME MORE CERTAIN.

FORTUNATELY...STRONG WINDS ARE NOT EXPECTED.  MOST WINDS WEDNESDAY
AND WEDNESDAY NIGHT WILL BE IN THE 10 TO 20 MPH RANGE...WITH
LIGHTER WINDS EXPECTED ON THURSDAY.

AND OKLAHOMA PANHANDLES SHOULD STAY UP TO DATE WITH THE LATEST
