...NWS DAMAGE SURVEY FOR JULY 16 TORNADO EVENT IN SHERMAN AND MOORE COUNTIES...

A SUPERCELL THUNDERSTORM TRACKED SOUTHWARD ACROSS PORTIONS OF SHERMAN AND MOORE
COUNTIES DURING THE EVENING HOURS OF JULY 16. THIS STORM PRODUCED THREE BRIEF
AND WEAK TORNADOES AS OBSERVED BY MULTIPLE STORM CHASERS AND SKYWARN SPOTTERS.
A TORNADO 2 MILES SOUTH OF STRATFORD /SHERMAN COUNTY/ DAMAGED UTILITY LINES AND
A SMALL OUTBUILDING ALONG U.S. HIGHWAY 287.  OTHERWISE...NO ADDITIONAL DAMAGES
RESULTED FROM THESE TORNADOES.

MULTIPLE REPORTS OF A TORNADO WERE RECEIVED FROM SPOTTERS AND STORM
CHASERS WEST SOUTHWEST OF CACTUS. THIS TORNADO REMAINED IN OPEN
FIELDS AND RESULTED IN NO DAMAGE.
