A winter storm produced mainly rain and snow over much of western and central Oklahoma on February 6, 2003. The snow fell generally north of a line from Erick to Lawton to Ardmore to Coalgate. Snowfall amounts in northwestern and west-central Oklahoma totaled up to 6 inches. The snow began to fall during the early morning hours of the 6th in western Oklahoma and spread into the central part of the state by mid morning. As the storm pushed further east during the day and evening, most of the snowfall ended in the region by the late evening hours of the 6th. |
