Weather Synopsis...Showers and thunderstorms will continue across portions of northern and central Oklahoma into this afternoon, bringing some relief from the recent hot temperatures. Temperatures are expected to top out in the upper 80s to near 90 across northern Oklahoma today with middle to upper 90s and low 100s farther south. Additional shower and thunderstorm development is expected this afternoon across northern into central Oklahoma. This activity will move south tonight as a cold front moves south across the area. Severe storms will be possible later today with strong winds and large hail the main concern. Temperatures will cool significantly behind the front with highs in the mid 80s to lower 90s expected on Sunday.
