Weather Synopsis...Showers and thunderstorms will be possible across portions of northern and west central Oklahoma overnight as a cold front approaches the area. The cold front will move into northern and central Oklahoma today bringing slightly cooler temperatures into northern sections on this afternoon, although southern Oklahoma and north Texas will remain hot, with heat indices near 105 degrees possible. Scattered thunderstorms are expected this afternoon into Sunday as the front moves through the area. Severe storms will be possible later today with strong winds and large hail the main concern. Temperatures will cool significantly behind the front with highs in the mid 80s to lower 90s expected on Sunday.
