Call
for Pictures & Video from Tornado Outbreak
Your
National Weather Service Office In Nashville is requesting any pictures
or videos from our residents, customers, and partners. that you
may have captured from around Middle Tennessee of the tornadic outbreak
on February 5, 2008.
Some examples
of what we are looking for are images of lightning, flooding, tornados,
tornadic damage, hail, or any other weather feature you feel important.
Please note
that photos are featured on our website for others to view and to
assist in damage assessment. In addition, we may find other uses
for the images in the future -- and we'll give you credit if we
do!
Because
this is a government web site, images submitted to us become part
of the public domain. Images should be amateur photography as copyright
privileges do not exist.
What to Do &
Where to Send
1. Please
shrink your digital photo as much as possible (preferably under
2 megabytes in size), while maintaining the quality of the image.
Our electronic mailbox can only hold so many large images, and many
pictures that we use as the "Featured Photo" will be scaled
down significantly.
2. E-Mail your digital photograph to sr-ohx.webmaster@noaa.gov
. Include in the body of the e-mail the location, date (if known),
and your name (if you want to be credited).
3. If you have links to
any pictures and/or video, you may submit them as well.
