November 10, 2012 marks the 10 year anniversary of the Veterans Day Tornado Outbreak, one of the worst Fall tornado outbreaks in Tennessee history. At least eight tornadoes struck Middle Tennessee on November 10, 2002, first in the early morning hours, and then again in the late afternoon and evening. In total, these tornadoes caused 8 fatalities and 51 injuries in Middle Tennessee, along with millions of dollars in damage. Dozens of other fatalities and injuries also occurred in East Tennessee, as well as other states stretching from Ohio to Alabama.
