Temporary Frequency Change of Grove Weather Radio Transmitter Early This Week

The frequency of NOAA Weather Radio station WWH38 located in Grove, Oklahoma, will temporarily experience a frequency change beginning at 11 am on Monday, July 9th. The frequency will be temporarily change to 162.525 MHz, Channel 6 on most NOAA Weather Radio receivers, in an attempt to alleviate frequency interference that has been ongoing between nearby NOAA Weather Radio stations in Cassville, Missouri, and Harrison, Arkansas.

The frequency of the transmitter is expected to be changed back to the normal broadcasting frequency of 162.500 MHz, Channel 5 on most NOAA Weather Radio receivers, by noon on Wednesday, July 11th.

We apologize for any inconvenience this temporary change of frequency may cause, but this coordinated test is necessary to determine a solution to frequency interference within the local NOAA Weather Radio network. If the test is successful, a permanent change of frequency of the Grove NOAA Weather Radio station may occur in the future.
