2014 Severe Weather Awareness Week: Feb 24-28

The National Weather Service in Tampa Bay is partnering with the Florida Division of Emergency Management to present the 2014 Severe Weather Awareness Week.  Severe Weather Awareness Week presents Florida residents and businesses with an opportunity to learn about the common types of severe weather that impacts their area and what they can do to prepare.

Each day from February 24th through 28th will focus on a different type of severe weather that is common to Florida. The daily topics are as follows:

Additionally, a statewide tornado drill will take place on Thursday, February 27th at 10:10am.  National Weather Service Tampa Bay will participate by broadcasting a weekly test message over NOAA Weather Radio, and issuing a public information statement at 10:10am. (Más información en español)
