Tallahassee Radar Scheduled to Undergo Dual Polarization Upgrade in Early November

...TALLAHASSEE RADAR SCHEDULED TO UNDERGO DUAL POLARIZATION UPGRADE 
IN EARLY NOVEMBER...

THE KTLH RADAR IS SCHEDULED TO BEGIN THE DUAL POLARIZATION UPGRADE 
PROCESS ON NOVEMBER 5, 2012. THIS MUCH ANTICIPATED UPGRADE WILL 
INCORPORATE NEW TECHNOLOGY TO HELP SUPPORT THE NATIONAL WEATHER 
SERVICE MISSION TO BETTER PROTECT LIVES AND PROPERTY AND TO SERVE 
OUR PARTNERS ACROSS PORTIONS OF NORTHWEST FLORIDA, SOUTHWEST AND 
SOUTH-CENTRAL GEORGIA, AND SOUTHEAST ALABAMA. 

THE TWO WEEK UPGRADE PROCESS WILL BEGIN ON NOVEMBER 5TH, AND AS A 
RESULT, THE KTLH RADAR WILL BE UNAVAILABLE FROM THEN UNTIL 
APPROXIMATELY NOVEMBER 18TH. NEIGHBORING RADARS WILL STILL BE 
OPERATIONAL, INCLUDING KEOX, KEVX, KVAX, AND KJGX.
