FOR TALLAHASSEE...
The average monthly temperature for October in Tallahassee was 66.2
degrees...3.2 degrees below normal. The highest temperature during
the month was 90 degrees on the 16th which tied the record for that
day. The lowest was 36 degrees on the 22nd.
Rainfall at the Tallahassee Regional Airport for October measured
only 1.59 inches...1.64 inches below normal. There were 6 days with
measurable rainfall during the month...1 above normal. The greatest
amount in a 24-hour period was 0.73 inches on the 18th. There were no
days with thunder reported at the airport which was 2 below normal.
The peak wind gust was 39 mph from the east on the 8th.
So far in 2011 every month has been drier than normal for
Tallahassee. Rainfall for the first 10 months of the year measured
