Snowfall Record Information For Oklahoma City

Statistics last updated:  February 9, 2011 at 2:00pm CST

What a couple of weeks residents in Oklahoma have experienced recently. Two significant snow storms have traversed the region, depositing up to a foot of snow in places, with wind gusts of 30 to 50 mph creating snow drifts of 3 to 5 feet!!! As a result of the heavy snow accumulations, parts of western and central Oklahoma have seen their seasonal snowfall totals for 2010-2011 grow quickly.  When we talk about seasonal snowfall totals we mean the amount of snow that falls over the course of the winter, rather than in a calendar year. Below, you will see some of the statistics for this winter's snowfall at Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City, OK (OKC)  These figures will be updated as needed over the course of the remaining winter weeks.

You can view event write-ups for some of the significant winter storms we've experienced this year:  the January 20 winter weather event, the January 31 - February 1 blizzard, and the January 28-29, 2010 winter storm (coming soon).

The latest measurable snowfall that occurred last year was on March 20th, when 2.5 inches of snow accumulated.
