National Weather Service technicians have completed the installation of a new NOAA Weather Radio transmitter in Lawton, Oklahoma.
The old transmitter was heavily damaged when the tower collapsed during the January 28 ice storm. Since then a new tower was constructed and a new antenna installed, and today's installation of the new 1000 watt transmitter completes the project.
Lawton Weather Radio has been on the air since December 15, 1978.
