Tornadoes in Southern Oklahoma - September 8, 2010

The remains of Tropical Storm Hermine moved through Texas and into southern Oklahoma during the afternoon and evening of September 8th, bringing several bands of heavy rain and thunderstorms. At least three tornadoes were reported with individual storms within the bands. 

NOTE: times and locations are estimated and subject to change.

205pm - near Colbert, Bryan County, OK

This very brief tornado damaged two homes, trees and power lines, and caused two trucks to overturn. A driver in one of the trucks suffered minor injuries.

700pm - 4 miles northwest of Lone Grove, Carter County, OK

Storm spotters observed a brief tornado that damaged two homes.

815pm - 6 miles south of Marietta, Love County, OK

Storm spotters observed a brief tornado. No damage was reported.

We're gathering more information to help us determine the tornado intensities, but as of now they appear to have been in the EF0 to EF1 category.
