324 PM CDT TUE JUL 10 2012

...HEAVY RAINFALL EXPECTED ACROSS THE MID STATE THROUGH FRIDAY...

A PERSISTENT UPPER TROUGHING PATTERN WILL REMAIN ACROSS THE MID
STATE THROUGH FRIDAY. WITH THE UPPER TROUGH AXIS LOCATED JUST
WEST OF OUR AREA...DEEP MOISTURE WILL CONTINUE TO BE PUMPED UP
FROM THE SOUTH ACROSS MIDDLE TENNESSEE. MEANWHILE...A STATIONARY
FRONTAL BOUNDARY WILL CONTINUE TO STRETCH WEST TO EAST OVER THE
REGION. THIS BOUNDARY WILL SERVE AS AN ADDITIONAL FORCING
MECHANISM TO HELP GENERATE THE HEAVIER RAINFALL.

ADDITIONALLY...AS IMPULSES OF ENERGY MOVE NORTHEAST ACROSS THE DEEPER
MOISTURE FIELD...NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED
TO CONTINUE AT TIMES.

BY SATURDAY...TOTAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 3 TO 5 INCHES WILL BE
COMMONPLACE ACROSS WESTERN MIDDLE TN. ACROSS EASTERN SECTIONS...2 TO
3 INCHES ARE EXPECTED.

GIVEN THE VERY DRY DROUGHT LIKE CONDITIONS PRIOR TO THIS
WEEK...WIDESPREAD FLASH FLOODING IS NOT EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.
HOWEVER...LOCALIZED FLASH FLOODING WILL BE POSSIBLE AS WE MOVE
TOWARD THE END OF THIS WORK WEEK.

STAY TUNED FOR ADDITIONAL UPDATES OR STATEMENTS...SHOULD THEY BECOME
NEEDED.
