Severe Storm Produced Wind Damage and Large Hail in the Nasvhille Area

A severe thunderstorm roared through the Nashville area earlier tonight...mainly between 8pm and 9pm.  

Reports were received of large hail...to quarter size...with this storm...as well as damage to trees and power lines. 

Following are some of the reports that were received here at the National Weather Serivce...

815 pm...TSTM WND DMG...5 SE Nashville (Davidson County)
Railroad Signal Gate blown down at Stewarts Ferry and McCampbell Road.

840 pm...TSTM WND DMG...5 SW Lebanon (Wilson County)
Wilson County Emergency Management reported trees and power lines blown down along Central Pike near Lebanon.

820 pm...TSTM WND DMG...La Vergne (Rutherford County)
Spotter reported a tree blown down.

831 pm...TSTM WND DMG...4 SSE Belinda City (Wilson County)
Emergency Management reported trees, power lines, and telephone poles blown down along the 6300 Block of Stewarts Ferry Rd.

830 pm...HAIL...7 E Gallatin (Sumner County)
Sumner County EMA reported 3/4 inch hail at Castalian Springs.

815 pm...HAIL...2 ENE Brentwood (Williamson County)
Quarter Size (1 inch) hail reported by Spotter.
