...LIGHT SNOW EVENT TONIGHT FOR NORTHERN MIDDLE TENNESSEE...

...SNOW POSSIBLE TUESDAY NIGHT FOR ALL OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE...

A WEAKENING SYSTEM CURRENTLY MOVING THROUGH MISSOURI WILL SPREAD LIGHT
SNOW ACROSS NORTHERN MIDDLE TENNESSEE TONIGHT. SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS
WILL AMOUNT TO ONLY A FEW TENTHS OF AN INCH FROM INTERSTATE 40 NORTHWARD.
THE POTENTIAL DOES EXISTS FOR A HALF INCH OF SNOW NEAR THE KENTUCKY
BORDER IN STEWART...MONTGOMERY AND ROBERTSON COUNTIES. ONLY FLURRIES
ARE EXPECTED SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 40.

SO FAR THIS SEASON WE HAVE HAD FAIRLY HIGH CONFIDENCE ON OUR SNOW
EVENT FORECASTS...BUT PATTERNS HAVE CHANGED...AND WE HAVE VERY LOW
CONFIDENCE FOR THE POSSIBLE SNOW TUESDAY NIGHT. MIDDLE TENNESSEE
WILL BE ON THE FRINGE OF A DEVELOPING EAST COAST STORM WITH MARGINAL
TEMPERATURES PROFILES. IT APPEARS OUR SOUTHEAST AND PLATEAU COUNTIES
HAVE THE BEST SHOT AT ACCUMULATING SNOW TUESDAY NIGHT BASED ON CONSENSUS
OF LATEST MODEL DATA.
