...TEMPERATURES HAVE RISEN ABOVE FREEZING OVER THE SOUTHWEST HALF
OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE...WHILE BELOW FREEZING TEMPERATURES CONTINUE
OVER THE NORTHEAST HALF...

FREEZING RAIN IS FALLING OVER FAR NORTHERN AREAS OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE
AND ACROSS NORTHEASTERN AREAS OF THE MID STATE AND AND THE PLATEAU.
REPORTS OF FREEZING RAIN UP TO ONE EIGHT OF AN INCH HAVE BEEN
RECEIVED FROM PARTS OF WILSON COUNTY AND CASTALIAN SPRINGS NORTH
AND EAST TO THE KENTUCKY BORDER. ROADS ACROSS PARTS OF PUTNAM
COUNTY...NEAR MONTEREY ARE ICE COVERED...AND ROADS IN CUMBERLAND
COUNTY ARE ICE COVERED AND IMPASSABLE. THERE HAVE BEEN MULTIPLE
WRECKS IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY. WARMER AIR IS MOVING INTO MIDDLE
TENNESSEE FROM THE SOUTHWEST AND WILL EVENTUALLY OVERSPREAD ALL OF
THE MID STATE INCLUDING THE PLATEAU IN THE OVERNIGHT HOURS.
TEMPERATURES HAVE RISEN ABOVE FREEZING SOUTH OF A LINE THAT
EXTENDS FROM DOVER...TO NASHVILE...TO MANCHESTER. THERE COULD
STILL BE POCKETS OF BELOW FREEZING TEMPERATURES EVEN IN THESE
AREAS BUT WITH RAIN IN THE LIQUID FORM NOW FALLING OVER SOUTHWEST
MIDDLE TENNESSEE THE TREND WILL BE FOR THE TEMPERATURE TO CONTINUE
RISING.
