Upcoming Labor Day Cool Down

A TASTE OF AUTUMN WILL VISIT MIDDLE TENNESSEE

THIS LABOR DAY WEEKEND.

THE WEATHER PATTERNS WILL CHANGE TO ALLOW COOLER AND

DRIER AIR TO SLIDE SOUTHWARD OUT OF CANADA THIS WEEKEND.

THE WEATHER PATTERN ON THURSDAY SHOWED A RIDGE OF HIGH

PRESSURE, PRODUCING SOUTHWESTERLY FLOW, ACROSS

MIDDLE TENNESSEE (See Below):

This pattern was foreast to produce warm weather across the Tennessee and

Ohio River Valleys, as the high temperature forecast for Thursday reveals

(See Below).

Notice the large area of red, indicating highs in the 90s:

The minimum temperature forecast for Friday morning also reveals

warm temperatures. (See Below) Notice the large area of yellow over

Middle Tennessee, indicating lows in the 60s :

HOWEVER, BY SATURDAY THE WEATHER PATTERN

IS FORECAST TO SHOW A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE

ACROSS THE OHIO AND TENNESSEE VALLEYS, PRODUCING

MUCH COOLER NORTHWESTERLY FLOW, ACROSS

MIDDLE TENNESSEE. (See Below) THIS COOLER AIR WILL MOVE

IN BEHIND A COLD FRONT, THAT WILL SWING ACROSS THE

MID STATE ON FRIDAY :

This upper air pattern will spread much cooler air in across Middle Tennessee,

as indicated by the forecast low temperatures for Sunday morning. (See Below)

Notice the large area of light and dark greens in Tennessee, indicating lows

in the 40s and 50s. Lows in the lower and middle 50s are expected Sunday

morning over most of the Mid State, with upper 40s along the Cumberland

Plateau:
