The last time the temperature was freezing in Nashville was on March 7th, over a month ago. Temperatures through the first week and a half of April 2010 have averaged 11 degrees above normal, one of the warmest starts to any April on record. The forecast calls for above normal temperatures through the remainder of April, so it appears unlikely that freezing temperatures will return this spring. If this is the case, then Nashville will have experienced its earliest last freeze in the spring since March 5th, 1927. The earliest last freeze in Nashville since record keeping began was on February 26th, 1905*.
