Over the past decade Tornadoes have killed more people in Tennessee than in any other state making Tennessee the deadliest state when it comes to tornadoes. Killer tornadoes have occurred in Tennessee 7 out of  the last 10 years. 100 people have been killed by tornadoes in Tennessee since the year 2000. The bar chart below shows the break down since 2000 for Tennessee. Missouri trails Tennessee with 70 fatalities. Other states in the top 5 are Alabama with 52 deaths, Georgia with 46 deaths and Arkansas with 33 deaths.
