BALDWIN

MAJOR BEACH EROSION OCCURRED FROM FORT MORGAN TO PERDIDO PASS. THE
BEACH WAS HEAVILY DAMAGED FROM GUSTAV AND HAD NOT RECOVERED BEFORE
IKE HIT. THE ROAD TO FORT MORGAN WAS CLOSED DUE TO HIGH WATER. WATER
COVERED HIGHWAY 59 IN GULF SHORES AND SEVERAL OTHER ROADS NEAR THE
COAST WERE FLOODED.

MOBILE

DAUPHIN ISLAND SUFFERED MAJOR DAMAGE FROM THE HIGH WATER. THE ROAD
TO THE ISLAND WAS CLOSED DURING THE TIMES OF HIGH TIDE FOR TWO DAYS.
WATER AND SAND COVERED THE WEST END OF DAUPHIN ISLAND. HIGH TIDE
ALSO PUT WATER IN THE CAUSEWAY FOR TWO DAYS. WATER STREET IN
DOWNTOWN MOBILE HAD WATER IN IT. STREAMS ALONG THE BAY CAME OUT OF
THEIR BANKS DUE TO HIGHER TIDES BEING PUSHED INLAND.

ESCAMBIA FL

MAJOR BEACH EROSION OCCURRED ON PENSACOLA BEACH. THE WATER WAS
HIGHER THAN DURING GUSTAV. WATER COVERED SEVERAL STREETS ON
PENSACOLA BEACH.

SANTA ROSA

MAJOR BEACH EROSION OCCURRED ON NAVARRE BEACH. HIGH WATER WAS ALSO
REPORTED AT SEVERAL LOCATIONS ON THE NORTH SIDE OF PENSACOLA AND
BLACKWATER BAYS.

OKALOOSA

MAJOR BEACH EROSION OCCURRED ALONG THE BEACH. HIGHWAY 98 ON OKALOOSA
ISLAND WAS CLOSED FOR TWO DAYS DUE TO HIGH WATER. HIGH WATER WAS
ALSO REPORTED ALONG THE NORTH PART OF CHOCTAWHATCHEE BAY. SEVERAL
STREETS NEAR THE COAST ALSO HAD WATER IN THEM.
