THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MIAMI HAS ISSUED A

* FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
  NORTHWESTERN COLLIER COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST FLORIDA...

* UNTIL 715 PM EDT

* AT 512 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAIN DUE TO 
  THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS NORTHWESTERN COLLIER COUNTY FROM ORANGE TREE 
  TO TWIN EAGLES. THIS WILL CAUSE MINOR FLOODING IN THE ADVISORY 
  AREA. UP TO TWO TO THREE INCHES OF RAIN HAVE BEEN ESTIMATED BY 
  RADAR IN THESE AREAS SINCE 3 PM. AN ADDITIONAL ONE TO TWO INCHES 
  IS EXPECTED THROUGH 7 PM. 

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  GOLDEN GATE ESTATES AND ORANGETREE. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE PONDING OF WATER IN
URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER
POOR DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TRAVEL
ACROSS FLOODED ROADS. FIND ALTERNATE ROUTES. IT TAKES ONLY A FEW
INCHES OF SWIFTLY FLOWING WATER TO CARRY VEHICLES AWAY.

A FLOOD ADVISORY MEANS PONDING OF WATER IN URBAN OR OTHER AREAS IS 
OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT.
