  NORTHEASTERN MIAMI-DADE COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST FLORIDA...

* UNTIL 100 AM EDT

* AT 1056 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAIN DUE TO
  THUNDERSTORMS. THIS WILL CAUSE MINOR FLOODING IN THE ADVISORY 
  AREA. ONE TO TWO AND A HALF INCHES OF RAIN HAS ALREADY FALLEN.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  MIAMI...MIAMI BEACH...SURFSIDE...MIAMI GARDENS...VIRGINIA KEY...
  NORTH MIAMI...NORTH MIAMI BEACH...AVENTURA...SUNNY ISLES BEACH...
  OPA-LOCKA...MIAMI SHORES...NORTH BAY VILLAGE...EL PORTAL...OJUS...
  LITTLE HAITI...DOWNTOWN MIAMI...COCONUT GROVE...LIBERTY CITY...SUN
  LIFE STADIUM AND WEST LITTLE RIVER.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL OF 1 TO 2 INCHES IS EXPECTED OVER THE AREA. THIS 
ADDITIONAL RAIN WILL CAUSE MINOR FLOODING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE PONDING OF WATER IN
URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER
POOR DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TRAVEL
ACROSS FLOODED ROADS. FIND ALTERNATE ROUTES. IT TAKES ONLY A FEW
INCHES OF SWIFTLY FLOWING WATER TO CARRY VEHICLES AWAY.
