* URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
  CENTRAL MIAMI-DADE COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST FLORIDA...

* UNTIL 415 PM EDT

* AT 117 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAIN DUE TO
  THUNDERSTORMS. THIS WILL CAUSE URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOODING IN 
  THE ADVISORY AREA. UP TO THREE INCHES OF RAIN HAVE ALREADY FALLEN 
  WITH THE REDLAN MIDDLE SCHOOL RECORDING 3.38 INHCES.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  HOMESTEAD...THE REDLAND...HOMESTEAD GENERAL AIRPORT...FLORIDA
  CITY...GOULDS...LEISURE CITY...NARANJA...PRINCETON AND HOMESTEAD
  BASE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE PONDING OF WATER IN
URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER
POOR DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TRAVEL
ACROSS FLOODED ROADS. FIND ALTERNATE ROUTES. IT TAKES ONLY A FEW
INCHES OF SWIFTLY FLOWING WATER TO CARRY VEHICLES AWAY.
