THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MIAMI HAS ISSUED A

* FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
  NORTHEASTERN MIAMI-DADE COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST FLORIDA...

* UNTIL 700 PM EDT

* AT 558 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAIN DUE TO
  THUNDERSTORMS. THIS WILL CAUSE MINOR FLOODING IN THE ADVISORY 
  AREA. UP TO TWO INCHES OF RAIN HAVE ALREADY FALLEN OVER SOME OF 
  THESE LOCATIONS.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  MIAMI...CORAL GABLES...SOUTH MIAMI...MIAMI SPRINGS...WEST MIAMI...
  UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI...COCONUT GROVE...GLENVAR HEIGHTS...DOWNTOWN
  MIAMI...CORAL TERRACE...MIAMI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT...MARLINS
  PARK...OLYMPIA HEIGHTS...ALLAPATTAH...CORAL WAY VILLAGE AND
  BROWNSVILLE.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL OF 2 INCHES IS POSSIBLE OVER THE AREA. THIS 
ADDITIONAL RAIN WILL LEAD TO MINOR FLOODING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO
AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. FLOOD WATERS ARE USUALLY
DEEPER THAN THEY APPEAR. JUST ONE FOOT OF FLOWING WATER IS POWERFUL
ENOUGH TO SWEEP VEHICLES OFF THE ROAD. WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED
ROADS MAKE THE SMART CHOICE...TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN.
