STRONG WINDS FROM 25 TO 30 MPH WILL CONTINUE OVER THE LOCAL ATLANTIC WATERS TODAY, CREATING WINDY CONDITIONS ACROSS THE SOUTH FLORIDA PENINSULA. IN ADDITION THE STRONG WINDS WILL CREATE HAZARDOUS MARINE CONDITIONS ACROSS THE REGIONAL WATERS AND DANGEROUS RIP CURRENTS ALONG THE ATLANTIC COAST BEACHES. A FEW LIGHT SHOWERS WILL OCCUR OVER THE EASTERN METRO AREAS AS THEY QUICKLY PASS WESTWARD ACROSS THE LOCAL ATLANTIC WATERS.

HIGH PRESSURE AND WINDY CONDITIONS WILL PERSIST THROUGH MONDAY, WITH HAZARDOUS LOCAL MARINE CONDITIONS AND DANGEROUS RIP CURRENTS ALONG THE ATLANTIC COAST BEACHES. BY TUESDAY THE WINDS WILL BEGIN TO SUBSIDE WITH A CHANCE OF SHOWERS ACROSS THE REGION TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY. HURRICANE IDA IS FORECAST TO BE IN THE CENTRAL GULF OF MEXICO ON MONDAY. ALL INTERESTS SHOULD MONITOR THE PROGRESS OF HURRICANE IDA.
