TEMPERATURES: HEAT INDEX VALUES ARE EXPECTED TO EXCEED 100 DEGREES FOR MUCH OF SOUTH FLORIDA TODAY, WITH VALUES AS HIGH AS 107 DEGREES POSSIBLE ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE INTERIOR AND GULF COAST. IF CONFIDENCE INCREASES IN HEAT INDEX VALUES 108 DEGREES OR HIGHER, THEN A HEAT ADVISORY MAY BE ISSUED.
