The 51 mile tornado track across northeast Arkansas and into west Tennessee was not continuous.  There were large stretches of open farm land over the delta of northeast Arkansas where even a powerful tornado would leave little or no trace.  The track was established by connecting damage points along a continuous path, and including the sections where there was no property or trees to be damaged.  The tornado caused F-0 to F-1 damage along nearly all its path.  There was one small area near Randolph, TN where damage intensity was rated as F-2 (113 mph to 157 mph wind speed).  The only serious injury reported was to a Covington, TN man who was struck by bricks blown from the facade of a downtown building. There were several persons who had to be rescued from their damaged homes, but only minor injuries were reported.
