Have you ever wondered how the National Weather Service contacts all of those important Skywarn volunteers? The answer: WarnSpot - a new graphical computer program which is easy and quick to use. When severe weather is developing - WarnSpot - allows meteorologists to select those storm spotters that are in the path of the storm. The program uses a high resolution map for each county in our service area. Included on each map are red dots that correspond to a storm spotter's location. When the mouse is placed over a red dot the spotter's name and phone number are brought to the screen.
