DAMAGE FROM OCTOBER 23RD ACROSS THE MIDSOUTH...


...MARSHALL COUNTY MISSISSIPPI TORNADO...

A TORNADO STRUCK NEAR THE COMMUNITY OF MARIANNA MISSISSIPPI AT 338
PM. NO FATALITIES OR INJURIES WERE REPORTED. THIS TORNADO WAS
RESPONSIBLE FOR UPROOTING SEVERAL TREES...ONE ROOF WAS PARTIALLY
RIPPED OFF OF A HOUSE...ONE SHED OVERTURNED...TWO TRAILER HOMES
PARTIALLY DAMAGED AND ONE ROOF TORN OFF A OUTHOUSE. THE MARIANNA
TORNADO WAS RATED AS A F0 ON THE FUJITA TORNADO INTENSITY SCALE
THROUGHOUT MUCH OF ITS LIFESPAN. HOWEVER...F1 DAMAGE WAS FOUND ABOUT
1 1/2 MILES EAST OF THE TOWN OF MARIANNA WHERE THE GREATEST DAMAGE
OCCURRED. THE PATH WAS APPROXIMATELY 3 MILES LONG AND EXTENDED TO
THE EAST AND WAS APPROXIMATELY 75 YARDS WIDE AT ITS GREATEST
WIDTH.
