Flood Safety Awareness Week this year is March 18th through the 22nd, 2013. In conjunction with federal and state agencies across the Mid-South, the National Weather Service in Memphis will participate in this week by conducting a Flood Safety Awareness Week.  A different topic concerning severe weather awareness and safety will be discussed each day, to help educate and increase the awareness of flash flooding and flood safety.
