...PRELIMINARY EF-1 TORNADO DAMAGE IN DECATUR COUNTY TENNESSEE...

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DAMAGE SURVEY TEAM CONCLUDES AN EF-1 TORNADO
TOUCHED DOWN ON BIBLE HILL ROAD 2 MILES NORTH NORTHWEST OF PARSONS
TENNESSEE AT 426 PM...TRAVELED EAST NORTHEAST AND CONTINUED ACROSS
THE TENNESSEE RIVER. MAXIMUM WINDS WERE ESTIMATED AT 105 MPH.
PRELIMINARY TRACK LENGTH WAS 7.6 MILES WITH A MAXIMUM TRACK WIDTH OF
400 YARDS.

SIGNIFICANT TREE DAMAGE OCCURRED...ESPECIALLY ON BROADYS LANDING RD.
ALTHOUGH LIGHT DAMAGE WAS NOTED TO MOST STRUCTURES HIT DIRECTLY FROM
THE TORNADO...SIGNIFICANT PROPERTY DAMAGE RESULTED FROM FALLING
TREES. ONE BARN WAS COMPLETELY DESTROYED HOWEVER.

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DAMAGE SURVEY TEAM CONCLUDED AN EF-0 TORNADO
TOUCHED DOWN NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF COUNTY ROAD 127 AND COUNTY
ROAD 128 3 MILES EAST OF NEW ALBANY. MAXIMUM WINDS WERE ESTIMATED AT
80 MPH. TRACK LENGTH WAS 100 YARDS WITH A TRACK WIDTH OF 30 YARDS.
SEVERAL TREES WERE UPROOTED AND ONE FELL ONTO A HOME. PARTIAL ROOF
LOSS WAS NOTED ON ONE MOBILE HOME. OTHERWISE...LITTLE OTHER
STRUCTURAL DAMAGE WAS OBSERVED.

TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN JUST SOUTH OF HAMILTON ROAD ALONG HIGHWAY 45.
TRACK LENGTH WAS SEVEN MILES AND LIFTED NEAR BARTAHATCHIE ROAD ONE
MILE EAST OF THE INTERSECTION OF BARTAHATCHIE AND GRUBB SPRINGS
ROAD. TRACK WIDTH WAS 150 YARDS. NUMEROUS TREES WERE UPROOTED ALONG
THE TRACK. ONE HOUSE NEAR THE BEGINNING OF THE TRACK SUFFERED
STRUCTURAL DAMAGE LOSING A GARAGE AND UTILITY ROOM. SEVERAL HOMES
INCURRED ROOF DAMAGE. A FEW VEHICLES ALSO RECEIVED DAMAGE FROM
FALLING TREES OR OTHER DEBRIS. A SMALL STEEL OUTBUILDING WAS ALSO
DESTROYED WITH DEBRIS WRAPPED IN AMONGST SURROUNDING TREES. A
SUPPORT ON A BUILT IN CARPORT WAS DESTROYED ALLOWING A PORTION OF
THE HOME ROOF TO COLLAPSE. SEVERAL POWER LINES WERE ALSO REPORTED
DOWN ALONG HAMILTON AND GRUBB SPRINGS ROAD.

...PRELIMINARY EF-0 TORNADO IN MISSISSIPPI COUNTY ARKANSAS...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS DETERMINED THAT AN EF-0 TORNADO
TOUCHED DOWN JUST TO THE WEST OF COUNTY ROAD 305 ABOUT 3 MILES
SOUTHEAST OF MANILA ARKANSAS. THE TOUCHDOWN OCCURRED AT 205 PM CDT
ON APRIL 24TH 2010.  THE TORNADO TRACKED NORTH-NORTHEAST FOR ABOUT 2
MILES AND MOVED ACROSS MALLARD LAKE. THIS TORNADO TRACK WAS LOCATED
WITHIN THE BIG LAKE WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA. A FEW TREES WERE SNAPPED
OTHERWISE NO SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE WAS OBSERVED. MAXIMUM WINDS WERE
ESTIMATED AT 70 MPH. THE PRELIMINARY TRACK LENGTH WAS ABOUT 2.1 MILES
WITH A MAXIMUM TRACK WIDTH OF APPROXIMATELY 50 YARDS.
