Severe thunderstorms developed in northeast Oklahoma during the
afternoon and early evening of August 4th. Several large tree limbs
were blown down by strong thunderstorm winds in Bearden, and a few
large tree limbs were downed by 70 mile an winds in Vera. Thunderstorm
winds gusted to 70 miles an hour just north of Oologah, and dime size
hail fell at Turley. Thunderstorms in Pittsburg County produced very
heavy rainfall which resulted in flash flooding. Water covered State
Highway 63 just west of Haileyville.

morning of August 7th and produced large hail. Nickel size hail fell at
Burbank and just east of Cromwell, and dime size hail fell at Shidler,
at Okemah, and near Oilton.

Severe thunderstorms moved across northeast Oklahoma during the late
evening of August 19th. A large tree was downed by strong thunderstorm
winds at the Zink Ranch 7 miles southwest of Skiatook, and small trees
and signs were downed by 65 mile an hour winds near Oologah. Signs were
downed by 60 mile an hour winds in Wynona. Thunderstorm winds gusted to
73 miles an hour at the mesonet automated observing site in Foraker and
to 70 miles an hour 7 miles north of Pawhuska. Nickel size hail also
fell 7 miles north of Pawhuska. Thunderstorm winds gusted to 65 miles
an hour along U.S. Highway 75 on the Tulsa/Washington County line 6
miles northwest of Collinsville. Thunderstorm winds gusted to 60 miles
an hour at Westport, and dime size hail fell 5 miles west northwest of
Bowring.

Severe thunderstorms developed in northeast Oklahoma during the early
morning of August 26th and produced damaging winds. Strong thunderstorm
winds blew part of the roof off a mobile home 4 miles east of New
Alluwe and blew shingles off houses in New Alluwe. Thunderstorm winds
downed trees and power lines in Commerce and downed several large tree
limbs 3.5 miles west northwest of Nowata.
